With huge disappointment i regret to imform club officials that Mr Richard Moon will not be available for the up and coming fixture on Sunday as he as been arrested. The reason for his arrest is that Moon 28, is the prime suspect in an investigation into the allegations made by a young innocent muslim boy Ramjad,11 from Soho after he claimed he was sexually abused by Mr Moon. As a result Moon will be unavailable until further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Talking in person on Ashford-based radio station, Gash FM, Moon stipulated that he was willing to concede that his performances in recent weeks have been 'below par', but he was still very much committed to the team and fully expected to make a tackle in one of the three remaining games before the christmas break to highlight that committment. The out of form playmaker went on to outline disappointing performances from other players, particularly in the Eagles game. A large section of the interview was shelved on the instruction of manager, Paul Newman, who described Moon's conduct as 'At best unproffessional and at worst spiteful'. Newman, was said to be shocked by what he'd heard refused to release the names of the 12 players singled out for abuse.

Moon, also stated that the rumours regarding the 'Mooney out' chants and burning effigies had definately been taken out of context. He stated that the only man to have shout 'Mooney out' at the Flying Horse on Sunday night was Barman Gerard at 11:15pm, shortly after a shout of 'last orders'. When questioned on the buring effigy, Moon laughed stating: 'If you can refer to Malboros as buring effigies - then I'm gulity as charged - I must have seen at least 80 buring away at different times on Sunday evening'. Moon blamed assistant manager George Dyke for the confusion and Tony Carty for just about everything else.

The interview, which has been released in full on several unofficial Troggs websites, can only fuel speculation that Moon's imminent departure from the Smarden-based outfit.

In response to:Celebrity Match Report

Again the insults keep flying. My report was based upon fact and not throwing insults around. Its my belief that Mr Moon has to resort to low tactics to ensure that he reamins part of the succesfful and young side that the manager Paul Newman has assembled. I only hope that one day Mr Moon will wake up have a cup of tea and become a team player. If you ever need help in this Mr Moon I will always help!

In response to:Celebrity Match Report

Calm down Slaphead,
I was not for a minute suggesting that thuggery, was not and should not be part of the game. I simply trying to compare the two contrasting styles of football, which are evident in the Troggs make-up - a balance that sees us sitting pretty at the top of the league.

As for the poker hand, I think an ace and queen is a more appropriate hand for the 'Mooney and Bruce'.
In response to:Celebrity Match Report

After reading R.Moons comments regarding the employment of thuggery behaviour by G.Dyke and I, i feel it necessary to point out a few things about Moon.

Although graced with average ability on the ball Moon lacks the talents required to meet the demand of what is a "MANS GAME". To this end he partners himself with Bruce who clearly wears the trousers in the relationship and on occasion releases Hank to deal with any competitors that get too close to moon. This being realised by the team whilst playing a game of poker on the weekend led to a certain hand (of pocket queens) being renamed as "a Bruce and Mooner".
I rest my case.

In response to:Troggs in Race for Keane

Around noon today, Moon quickly responded to quash allegations that he was on his way out of the Smarden-based club, stating that he 'was happy to stay'. Moon is all too aware of his managers longstanding admiration of Roy Keane and made moves last night to smooth over the debacle that had threatened his Troggs future. Moon commented that 'The gaffa's refusal to answer my (Moon's) telephone calls last night (Thurs) has been the clearest indication yet, that I might be regarded as suplus to requirements at Troggs'. Moon, who has played at the club for over 10 years, is a product of the team's youth policy, that has also seen the likes of Peter Naden, Bruce Dyer and Mikka Windibank through its ranks. Moon stipulated that if he was to leave the club 'Football in Smarden village would find it hard to recover'. Moon made no further comment on his rift with Assitant Manager George Dyke.

In response to:This just in...

If you think I am going to fall for the old, 'Come along and watch' chestnut, think again fella!
