Cupid stunts stepped up to take on everything tenterden had to throw at them tonight, and take it on they did.
Player Manager George Dyke set out his team in the first game. Mark, T. Dyke, Carty, G. Dyke, Moon and left Adamson on the bench.
They pitted their wits against The White Lion hotel, artguably the favourites for the cup and the cupids taught them a lesson. G. Dyke Bagged 2 as did Mr moon and the cupids spanked the favourites 4-1.
Next up in the semi were Brazil 70, who like the Lions finished above the cupids in the league. Dyke and Moon grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck once more, Dyke netting 3 and Moon 2 though Moons were slightly more attractive than Dyke's hit and hope efforts.
After the longest penalty shoot out in history (i think it ended 16-15) Northern Lights finally limped through past a simon eels led fat ox.
For much of the final, Cupids looked the better side but it was the Lights than shone thru scoring first through dogman then again through cox who beat tony carty once all game and unfortunately scored. Adamson, off the bench for Dyke Snr, Finally decided to shoot and notched a late conselation, but it was too little too late and the final finished 2-1.
Two runner's up medals in a week isn't that nice, but hey its better than nothing. Well played to all involved and unlucky again lads.
